Designed to handle ALL rotary mower blades on the market, the rugged Model 440 is a fast, accurate,and efficient way to insure you or your customers blades are sharpened to like new manufacturers specifications.
The Model 440 hollow grinds your rotary mower blade to the desired cutting angle. This powerful 1/2 H.P. machine is equipped with a specially formulated 1" wide x 8" diameter 36 grit grinding wheel for fast, cool and very aggressive sharpening. The 1/2 H.P. totally enclosed motor turns at 3450 RPM for the highest quality grinding. This easy to use machine comes with one dressing brick, 8"x1"x5/8" grinding wheel, a 20 to 40 degree adjustable blade guide, safety goggles, deburring stone, enclosed cabinet, vacuum ports, and a movable spark shield for maximum visibility and operator protection. This heavy duty machine weighs 50 lbs. An optional work station floor stand, blade balancer and dust collection vac is also available. Just slip the blade (any size hole 1/2” to 1.2”) onto the cone. The magnetic holding collar holds the blade perfectly on center. The ball-bearing spindle is then free to rotate and show the slightest out-of balance conditions of the blade.
The telescopic Tracking Arm can be extended for all blade sizes. This precision balancer is made of the finest precision steel, it has sealed bearing and super strong magnets to hold the blade.
